Highland - "are single malt Scotch whiskies produced in the Highland region of Scotland. This categorization includes the whiskies produced on the islands around the perimeter of Scotland (the Island Single Malts), except for Islay"
A few examples of Highland whiskies we stock are Glen Morangie, Glen Ord and Oban.
Lowland - " are single malt whiskies distilled in the lowlands of Scotland. The region, once having a number of whisky producers, now only has three operating distilleries: Glenkinchie, near Edinburgh; Auchentoshan, near Clydebank; and Bladnoch in Galloway. At least six other lowland single malts are still available, but are no longer distilled, Rosebank, Kinclaith, St. Magdalene, Ladyburn, Inverleven and Littlemill.
Traditionally Lowland Single Malts are triple distilled (though this has not been true of all of them), often giving them a lighter taste."
Islay - " are Scotch whiskies made on Islay, the southernmost of the Inner Hebridean Islands located off the west coast of Scotland. There are eight active distilleries on the island, as of early 2008, with a ninth being made ready for production."
A few examples of Islay whisky we stock are Ardbeg, Bruichladdich and Caol Ila.
Speyside - "are single malt Scotch whiskies, distilled in Strathspey, the area around the River Spey in Moray and Badenoch and Strathspey, in northeastern Scotland."
A few examples of Speyside whisky we stock are Balvenie, Glen Fiddich and Tamdhu
Irish Whiskey - "is a whiskey made in Ireland. There are several types of whiskey common to Ireland: Single Malt, Single Grain, Pure Pot Still and Blended Whiskey."
A few examples of Irish Whiskey we stock are Paddys, Bushmills and if you are lucky Midleton Rare
